Invenit Website Terms of Use
Version 1.0 (waitlist). Effective 11 October 2026.
These terms cover using this website and joining the Invenit waitlist. Invenit is not open yet, and nothing can be bought here. Full terms of service will apply when accounts open, and we will email you about them first.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Sreejith Sivankutty, trading as Invenit, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Contact address: Innovation Labs, University of Essex, Colchester CO4 3SQ. Email: support@getinvenit.com.
We plan to register a company, Invenit Tech Ltd. When we do, it will take over this website and these terms, and we will update this page.
2. What Invenit will be
Invenit is being built as an AI research tool for inventors. It will search patent databases, read what it finds, and compare it with an invention. It will not write or file patents, and no attorney will review its results.
What this website says about Invenit describes our plans. Features, prices and launch dates may change before launch.
3. Not legal advice
Nothing on this website is legal advice. We are not a law firm, and we are not patent attorneys. If you have an invention, speak to a registered patent attorney before you file, or before you tell anyone about it in public. In the UK, making your invention public before filing can stop you from getting a patent.
4. Joining the waitlist
4.1 Joining is free and does not commit you to anything. It does not reserve a price or a place.
4.2 You must be 18 or over to join.
4.3 Please give accurate details, and only sign up with your own email address.
4.4 Attorneys who join will be invited to set up a listing in the Invenit directory when it opens. Joining does not create a listing, and any directory arrangement will be on separate terms agreed at the time.
4.5 How we use your details is set out in our Privacy Policy. You can leave the waitlist at any time.
5. Using this website
You must not:
(a) sign up other people without their permission, or use false details; (b) send automated or bulk sign-ups; (c) try to break into, overload or interfere with the website; (d) copy the website's content for commercial use without our permission.
6. Our content
The text, design, logos and other content on this website belong to us or to those who have allowed us to use them. You may view and share pages for your own, non-commercial use.
7. Our responsibility
7.1 We try to keep this website available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free from errors.
7.2 The website is free, and it is for information only. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on its content, or for any loss you suffer from using it, except where the law does not allow us to exclude that responsibility. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.
7.3 We are not responsible for other websites we link to.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
